The Work Number and Workforce Solutions Website Redesigns

CHALLENGE

Equifax had two very outdated website they wanted to refresh at the same time along a very short timeline. Similar to the UniGroup project, the sites would utilize the same design system, but would also need to be unique to each brand. The two websites have extremely different audiences as well as site goals, so we needed to take great care in how we built out any shared templates, knowing that they would need to be adaptable.

PROCESS

Due to the tight timeline, my UX Director and I worked in tandem developing sitemaps, followed by a large list of wireframes. We developed multiple shared templates as well as unique templates to use for each individual brand.

We then annotated each page to identify content needs for the content author, and also annotated the design system separately to inform development of all the intricacies of each component.

This project was done in 2 week sprints, with multiple client working sessions per sprint, and quick handoffs to the creative team and developers.

In addition to our typical UX deliverables, we also helped provide the client with page-level content management guides, detailing what components to use and what content was to go where. These were to supplement the wireframes.

PERFORMANCE

These new websites were a big part in Equifax greatly exceeding new business goals set for the year of their launch. While we don’t have key stats, it was communicated to our team that their sales goals were greatly exceeded with the new sites playing a large part in that.
